Find out which sounds reach you
Six tones, from the low rumble of a vowel to the high hiss of an s. Tell us which ones you can hear. That’s the whole test.
Set your volume first
Put on headphones if you have them, and find somewhere quiet. Play the reference tone and turn your system volume up or down until it sits at a comfortable conversational level — clearly there, not loud.
Once you start, don’t change your volume — everything after this is measured relative to it. The test takes about a minute. This is not a medical hearing test and cannot diagnose anything; see an audiologist for that.
